What the Ocean brought [Entrance, Log]

The beach is a long expanse of land with various places to park, one must walk across the small rocks to get to the sand of the beach. The air is always cold and the sky is always gray but that does not stop those who wish to spend time upon the beach

What the Ocean brought [Entrance, Log]

Postby fairfolk » Mon Oct 03, 2016 5:41 am

Madeline Brice:
The suggestion to take a sail boat up the coast had come from one of the ghouls. And that, it sounded like a good idea so that was what they where doing

She was sitting up top, watching the moon lite water, she was on her stomach with her hand over the side, fingers occasionally brushing the cold water. She was dressed in a white sun dress, though the seasons had changed from summer to autumn so it was colder

Dimitri:
*He comes up from below deck with a bottle and two glasses sitting down next to her*, "Madeline, enjoying the view?" *He was dressed in black khakis and a powder blue polo shirt with the first few buttons opened, and a pair of loafers
*
Madeline Brice:
She looked up at him and half smiled then turned her head to rest her cheek on the railing again. "Its pretty" She said almost quietly. The waters where calm. "YOu didnt tap that captain did you?" She asked lowly, so in case if he did not , the human wouldnt hear

Dimitri:
*He chuckles with a slight shake of his head*, "No, maybe before we dock though. A few of the crew keep eying you." *he spoke softly pouring her a glass of the wine and then one for himself inhaling*, "You'll like the vintage."

Madeline Brice:
"Thats nothing unusual" She said moving to sit and looked up ,s he reached out for the glass "Oh, what is it?"

The wind started to pick up a little bit. Dimitri saw it over her shoulder, the way the clouds where moving in the night, blotting out the moon just as that wind started to really cause the water to be choppy, bouncing the boat around

Dimitri:
*He smiles looking down to her*, "It's the latest bottling of blood wine." *Feeling the boat bouncing and the wind he slips his arm around her waist and extends his leg bracing a foot against the railing*

Madeline Brice:
She put her arm around him too though she was still sitting, seemed safer.

The crew came running up to try to deal with the sails. But the sea got rough to fast, the wire snapped sending the sails flying like flags in the wind, the metal that the flag had snapped from came around and knocked a kine off the boat.

Then one let out a yell and pointed, but that was right before the boat was tossed into stone and started to splinter and sink

Dimitri:
*He scooped Madeline up and jumped away from the boat to avoid getting tangled in the sails or rigging*, "Looks like we're swimming for shore Maddy"

Madeline Brice:
He got that out before they started to sink. Dead weight after all.

She kept her eyes open not at all phased by this, she had been in a sour mood that was border line depressed and tired for at least a decade now, this had been a intent to try and spark something in her.

As she watched the darkness of the waters, she saw, he saw, a creature that looked humanoid but meshed with a octopus swimming towards them

Dimitri:
*He sees the creature and looks to Maddy then starts swimming for shore hard kicking with quick long strokes holding her with one arm aiming for the beach*

Madeline Brice:
She watched the creature for a bit, as it swam towards him. She realized she was probably a frustrating creature , and would let out a sigh if it was useful: as it was not she turned and slipped her arms around him.

She forced her heart to pump the blood through her system, as she activated her vigor and a moment later celerity. Having him hold onto her, and now her arms around him with those two disciplines active they started to move through the water like a fish, fast and strong

until the water started to get shallow that is

Dimitri:
*The creature and everything else around them slowed as the blood fed his muscles lending him speed and strength to extreme measures as he reached the shore with her setting her on her feet as he stepped out onto the beach looking at his ruined loafers, and his drenched clothing.*, "Well, this is a change."

Madeline Brice:
She sat on the wet beach as the water rushed to them, and retreated.
She looked up at him and was about to speak when he noticed others making it from the boat, a couple of their retainer, ghouls. Good

"Well you wanted adventure, not sure this is what you meant though"

They felt their beast rise, and the nearly cower as they felt a significantly stronger beast approaching.

She got up quickly and went to stand by Dimitri.

Baltazar
They could see a man, dressed in black flowing pants, and no shirt. A flat iron necklace around his neck which brought to mind far off places. His skin was pale and glistened as the moon hit it, and blond hair came to his shoulders. He smiled as he approached "Believe you guys need a welcoming wagon, as the sea has brought you to us"

Dimitri:
*Looking the man over he takes a step in front of Madeline placing himself between the newcomer. With a nod he cleared his throat losing his native accent.*, "Yes, it seems the sea had a different plan for us than our yacht."

Baltazar
He raised a hand from his waist, keeping it low. "Yes, seems Marduke wished you here. I am Baltazar, Hierophant of the followers of Marduke. And it seems he has brought two children of the gods from the sea. " Heirophant, he was a member of the circle of the Crone.

Madeline Brice
Madeline smiled and waited for Dimitri to introduce them

Dimitri:
*He bows and gestures to Madeline*, "This is Marques Madeline Brice, and I am Sir Dimitri Skala of the First Estate."

Baltazar
He gave a nod and came closer "A pleasure. Come with me, I will show you a place to haven tonight and then you can present yourselvse at court tomorrow " he said turning and leading them back to a safe place

STess
Baltazar, the Heirophant of the Circle of the Crone in the city had made two phone calls. One, was to Ivanovich, as he was a primogen and to Saraphine as she was the Knight Commander in the city.
He offered his home for the meeting, having said that Marduke had brought them two flawless gifts ..
The Acolyte was dressed in a pair of black slacks, and black shirt. He was lounged on one of the leoprd print devines as he waited for his guest, sipping lacrima

The house, was for the most part disconcerning to vampire, a lot of glass but the glass had a tendancy to turn to shade, a gift of modern technology

Marcus Sorensen
The Knight Commander came with company, a new face and Beast along with it rather than just some mortal retainer. He was dressed casually but neatly in black jean pants, boots to match and a long-sleeved white shirt with a dark jacket over it. Around his neck was a pair of chain necklaces, one silver and one copper; from the silver hung a coin that showed a pair of balanced scales on the outward facing side, while the copper held a gear made from the same material, a faint sheen of patina here and there, with red enamel on the teeth of the cog.

Dark eyes watched the scene as they approached the house, remaining quiet for the time being as was his wont.

Alexai Ivanovich
Alexai arrives at the scene, taken there in the same strange vehicle as the Knight Commander - it is there that he meets her childe, or such that she is introduced as. Of course he doesn't leave Anastasia at home - there is no telling how much damage she would do, if left bored and to her own devices. Then again, she'd proven she knew how to contain herself for thirty years - perhaps the leash required a little less pull.

The twins are children. That, perhaps, is the most evident feature that the two alders have. They were beautiful beings - both with blond hair and blue eyes, and if the girl cut her hair and wore a suit she might even be mistakable for the boy - but as it stood, they were clearly different. She was a doll, elegant and poise - refined to a perfection no young girl should have. Her beauty was the kind of thing women twice as mature older dreamed of pulling off - and that beauty is something alien, unnerving, unnatural. He, too, was perfection - a young man in a suit that would most likely be reserved for children on sunday morning, yet his was professional. He had an air of him - regal, sovereign - yet, there were things off about him and the air he presented - dominate, crushing.

It was made all the worse by the way they are together. How close she stands to him. How they walk in perfect unison, blink in perfect unison, breath in perfect unison. Like they are one beast, rather than two.

Dimitri Skala
Dimitri stands next to Madeline a coffee table book in his hand casually paging through it. He's an even six feet tall with short cropped blond hair, and piercing blue eyes. He's dressed in black slacks and a pale silver polo shirt with the top button open. Glancing up from the book as others arrive he sets the book down taking up a position slightly to the side and in front of Madaline.

STess
Saraphina was a quiet woman for the most part, her dark eyes had a haunting quality to them as if she saw to much or knew to much. Dark hair was a chocolate color and pulled back in a french twist, exposing her neck and forehead. Her forehead just slightly above her brows where four dots, small but two over each brow. Her neck was covered in gold plates, remince of the egyptian jewlery. She wore a pair of leather pants that fit her and jacket, zipped. She had her driver pick up the twinss, and warned her child of their appearance and oddity, but also their favor with the spider.
When they arrived, it was the ghoul that had knocked before going to the car to wait. She stood in front of the group, and surely the small doll girl stood in back

Madeline was one of those women that would or could launch a 1000 ships, her hair was like ink and straight, her cheek bones high. Her eyes large and the color of sapphires, and though she was dead they sparkled with intelligence, but the set of her mouth suggested dissatisfaction. She was dressed in a red dress that fitted her slim body, and red heels that would make her 6 feet, though she was only 5'8. She sat sitting next to the Crone who was speaking to her softly

Baltazar, made a motion to the retainer in the room who went and opened the door. He stood as the four came in, and gave a bit of a bow "Welcome to my abode, this is Sir Skala and Baroness Brice. The sea brought them to us on the dark moon"

Marcus Sorensen
The twins were greeted with a polite nod when they joined Marcus and his sire in the car on the way to the Hierophant's home. The two were...unusual, both in their physical age and their closeness, but he had no intention of insulting them with odd questions considering their place in the city's hierarchy.

Once they arrived at the home he smirked slightly at the large glass windows. "Interesting..." he said more to himself than anything, his voice barely above a whisper. Upon entering dark eyes scaned the room before falling upon their host, with the Mekhet giving the man a polite nod; he left the introduction to his sire, as was proper since she already knew the Hierophant.

Alexai Ivanovich
He looked to Balthazar and smiled. "Thank you for having us, Hierophant."

His gaze shifted to the ones whom he introduced. He doesn't speak at first, taking a moment to look over the individuals who he was to see. After a moment. they speak. "Good Evening." Anastasia goes quiet, and Alexai continues, "I am Alder Alexai Ivanovich, Notary and Technologist of the First Estate, Primogen of New Haven. This is Alder Anastasia Ivanovich, Soldier, Libettrist, and Player of the First Estate."

Dimitri Skala
Dimitri inclines his head in greeting looking to each of the newcomers listening to their names and titles. "This is Baroness Brice, Speaker and Vinter of the First Estate, and I am Sir Skala Groom of the First Estate."

STess
The Egyptian woman offered a thin smile, and put her hand on her stomach giving a slight bow but not inclining her head. As she stood she said "I am Marquise Saraphina Moreau, Knight Commander and Spy master of the Order of the Moon Knights. Respected member of the Pillars of the Unbound, and second Primogen of New Haven. This is my childe " She said motioning to Marcus "Lord Marcus Sorensen, Commissioner and a Technologist of the Pillars of the Unbound. I am glad to see you both survived the ocean and I am sure the spider will be pleased that you have arrived safely" She looked at Baltazar "What do you wish for having kept them in your domain and tending to them for the night?"

Madeline stood, her hands quietly moving to her side and gave them a bit of a curtisy. She offered the children a smile before looking up at the others. There was something about her that commanded attention.

Baltazar shrugged "Simply a night on Suicide cliffs for a proper circle to Marduke, but it was my pleasure to house such fine members of the succubus"

Marcus Sorensen
Marcus' gaze settled on Madeline for a moment before looking to the three as a whole, giving them a courteous nod. "A pleasure to meet you all." His voice remained whisper-soft, tinged with an accent native to the sands that both he and his sire called home.

Alexai Ivanovich
Alexai nodded, and allowed Saraphina to handle the matter of affairs with Balthazar, at least regarding what would be offered in return for their safe passage. He himself had other questions, namely for the new arrivals. "May I ask where the two of you hail from?"

Dimitri Skala
He smiles to Alexai, "Of course, we hail from Prague, and were traveling abroad to show Baroness Brice a reason to not go into eclipse."

STess
Saraphina gave a nod "Granted, just mark the date with the harpy. We will escorting them to a Invictus held haven now" the way she said it, sounded like she wasnt about to be argued with. She looked at Alexai "Best to not dwell in the Crones territory m;Lord"

Baltzar smiled, and it was the smile one gets when they cat, tore out feathers and ate the canary. He turned to Dimitri and Madeline, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles before saying to them both "It was a pleasure to meet you both, I do hope to see you at the circle when we have it"

Madeline breathed in, when she spoke she had a slight accent but her words where chosen carefully "We had not intended on visiting New Haven, the rumors I have heard ...are they?" She stopped as the Crone took her hand and eyed him a moment before inclinign her head "Perhaps, and thank you for your hospitality" She pulled her hand away and stepped towards the other Invictus, after her other hand gently touched Dmitris back to indicate they should go

Marcus Sorensen
"Ah...a lovely city." Marcus smiled quietly, then looked to Saraphina as she mentioned it was time to leave and gave her a small nod.

Alexai Ivanovich
Alexai nodded, and said, "Of course, Marquise Moreau. We should head out swiftly."

His gaze looked to Madeline as they walked, his sister keeping perfect tandem with him to follow the Knight Commander in this affair, but the line of communication did not cease. "That would depend on the rumors I suppose. The most common one I hear is the rumor that no one ever leaves here - if that's the one you speak of, it's true enough. Nomadic Kindred are a rare enough phenomena, with the dangers of the road and all to our kind, but here those who leave are not heard from again."

Dimitri Skala
He gives a bow to those assembled and then feeling Madeline's hand he starts for the door keeping pace with the other Invictus. "Yes, thank you for your hospitality, and we will see about attending the circle once we get settled in."

STess
Madeline moved forward, her movements graceful and enticing. The woman oozed that promise that Daeva made by their sheer being, she was a dream and a nightmare, yes there was something about her that had a edge and it was more then Daeva, there was...a haunting to her.
"Then it appears that we are to stay."

Saraphina waited until they all had excited before giving a nod to the crone and turning on her heel to follow them out.

The car they had driven in was big enough for them all, and the ghoul got out and opened the door

Marcus Sorensen
Marcus watched as Madeline moved towards the door, more...intrigued than entranced. Such carnal thoughts had left his mind decades ago, truth be told, and it was the edge buried beneath that beauty which had caught his attention.

The Mekhet quietly slipped into the car once the door was opened and their guests were settled, his gaze dancing between the vampires present but not in a paniced manner. No, he was simply...curious.

Alexai Ivanovich
"Indeed it does. Don't worry though - it's a nice place to call home, or so I like to think. The nights are long, the days are short, and the blood is sweet," He says, smiling as they entered into the car. "It's not paradise for the kine, but I could make a case for us."

Alexai Ivanovich
Anastasia looked to Madeline as they talked, and said in an almost singsong voice, "Do you like Kitties?"

Dimitri Skala
He watches the interactions observing quietly after getting settled into the car, a small nod at the description of the place. The question on kitties surprises him as he glances to Madeline.

STess
Madeline slipped into the car and crossed her legs, her hands went to her lap and laced. At the question she looked at the small vampire, her lips turned up "They are a bit small for sustanance , but nice to let sleep on your bed. I do however prefer panthers. My sire, when I was very young got me one. Unfortunately, it was killed during world war 2, so he created Sir Dimitri to replace him" She said it in a tone that was both serious, and jest

Saraphine got in and shut the door, then made a tap sound with her fist to get the driver to drive. The car started up and rolled down the street. Hearing the conversation she would have choked with laughter, but opted to stay silent.

Marcus Sorensen
Marcus' eyebrow quirked up at the mention of the panther, while the comment about the vampire at her side being the replacement quirked up the corner of his mouth just a touch. He glanced to Dimitri to gauge his reaction to the moment of jest.

Alexai Ivanovich
Anastasia's eyes about widened to the point like they might pop out of her head, snd she pointed to Madeline excitedly, "SEE! She got a kitty too! I've been good!"

Oh god, they were going to have this conversation in the middle of the car in full view of the rest of the Invictus, weren't they? Someone stake him now. He shook his head and squeezed her hand, a sign she should calm down a bit more, before looking to Madeline, "She's been wanting me to get her a larger cat for some time. Quite taken with the idea." He suspected she wanted to ride it across the streets, which was half the reason he'd not given it to her, and then shifted topics. His gaze shifts to Dimitri. "You said you were a groom, Sir Skala? Do you raise families, or simply tend to the herds?"

Dimitri Skala
Looking to Alexai, Oh, I raise families mostly, but I have an idea to maintain a herd of locals as well. I'll be discussing it with Baroness Brice before presenting the idea, but a city environment would be ideal for it."
